STOKE CLIMSLAND PARISH HALL, CORNWALL

The Prince’s Foundation worked with partners around the country to develop a variety of projects in celebration of His Royal Highness’ 70th birthday in 2018.

Stoke Climsland Parish Hall is a Duchy of Cornwall-owned, Grade II listed building constructed in 1915 with a strong and vibrant community use. However, the building required extensive maintenance, ideally some additional floorspace, and internal re-fitting to benefit the wider parish and their growing needs in order to ensure the hall would be sustainable and future-proofed, and that it continues to be affordable for all. The Prince’s Foundation helped the local community group by providing architectural and fundraising services, which culminated in planning and listed building consent for a refurbished and extended facility. The community group continue to work towards their vision of a community facility fit for the future.
