The Prince's Foundation response to COVID-19

update 22 march

We have sadly taken the decision to close our estates and gardens from midnight tonight, in addition to our indoor spaces, to help restrict the spread of coronavirus. We ask people to avoid travel and comply with social distancing guidance. If the situation changes in any way we will make a further statement.

update 16 march

Following Government advice on Monday 16 March, The Prince’s Foundation has decided that its places to visit (Dumfries House, Woodlands Restaurant, the Dumfries House Education Centres, The Castle of Mey, The Carriage and Rothesay Rooms in Ballater, New Cumnock Swimming Pool, New Cumnock Town Hall and our School of Traditional Arts Centre in Charlotte Road, London) will close at the end of the day on Friday 20 March.

We hope you will understand that our priority is the health and wellbeing of all our staff, students, volunteers and visitors, which is why we have taken this unprecedented step.

We have also taken the decision to cancel all public events and activity during this period. If you are affected by this we will be in contact in due course. If you do have any immediate queries or do not hear from us then please email info@dumfries-house.org.uk. If the situation changes in any way we will make a further statement.

We thank you for your continued support and understanding in these uncertain times, and we look forward to letting you know about our plans for reopening as soon as we are able.
