Contemporary Sacred Architecture and Life-Design Consultancy

Nevine is a London-based architectural consultant and researcher exploring the relationship between sacred space and spiritual experience. She aims to reclaim the wisdom embodied by classic sacred architecture in contemporary contexts seeking to create designs that are transformative, meaningful and reflect the order of nature and the divine.

Nevine studied heritage buildings for many years and completed doctoral research entitled, ‘Beyond the Veil of Form: Developing a Transformative Approach Toward Islamic Sacred Architecture Through Designing a Contemporary Sufi Centre,’ at the School of Traditional Arts in 2020. She continues to explore spirituality as a framework for the design of a built environment that inspires, fosters and facilitates well-being, spiritual growth and the experience of the transcendent. Nevine sees architecture as a way to explore what life/reality is; communicating and framing a particular vision of life, and creativity as a transformational possibility.
