HAMISH OGSTON FOUNDATION COMMONWEALTH MA SCHOLARSHIPS
The Commonwealth Heritage Forum (CHF), with funding from the Hamish Ogston Foundation, is awarding two full scholarships to students from Commonwealth countries to undertake the MA in Traditional Arts at The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts in the United Kingdom, beginning in September 2022.
For full details of this scholarship please read our informational document:
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: MONDAY 10 JUNE 2022
The Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarships are aimed at talented prospective craftspeople and students from across the Commonwealth who would otherwise be unable to pursue further study of their craft or speciality skill. Consideration of financial need will be central to the selection of the MA Scholarship recipients.
The scholarships are for students studying broadly in the areas of traditional building and craft skills that are most relevant to, or most needed in, their own country and its heritage.
Scholarship applicants will be subject to the standard admission requirements for the MA course as set by the Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts.
The Commonwealth Heritage Forum will fund two scholarships that will last for the duration of the two year MA course, starting in in September 2022 and finishing in July 2024. The scholarships will include overseas course fees; a stipend to cover living expenses; return air travel from home country to UK; and visa costs.
Applicants for the Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarship will apply directly online to The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, which can be found online at: https://princes-foundation.org/school-of-traditional-arts/postgraduate-degrees/ma-in-traditional-arts.
There is normally a fee to apply to the MA in Traditional Arts, which will be waived for eligible applicants applying for the Hamish Ogston Foundation Commonwealth MA Scholarship. Before applying, please email the Commonwealth Heritage Forum to confirm your eligibility for the Scholarship—you will then receive a discount code to waive the fee when you submit your application.
You can find further notes for applicants on The Prince’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts website: https://princes-foundation.org/school-of-traditional-arts/postgraduate-degrees/apply/notes-for-applicants
