Designers and artists from across China participate in PSTA workshops

In early March, twenty five artists and designers from across China took part in 40 day design programme, analysing the patterns and painting techniques found in the Mogao Caves. PSTA was invited to teach the group for the first five days of the programme, leading them through a series of geometric design principles relating to the order of nature. The group then applied these principles to analysing the designs found in the Mogao Caves and the wider canon of Chinese art history.
