Biography
I'm an agnostic art practitioner with an interest in traditional painting and christian iconography.
My background is based in Stained Glass design and conservation. Prior to working towards a Diploma in Iconography I worked with 'The Art of Glass' of Lancaster and 'Chapel Studios' of London. This work taught me an appreciation of ecclesiastical design and time-honoured craftsmanship.
Whilst studying under Aidan Hart, I have begun to expand my knowledge of The Orthodox Church and its practices. This was an enlightening experience that provided an opportunity to acquaint myself with the implementation of natural materials within my working process.
I've found this period of study beneficial to developing a methodical rhythm and sincere approach to the pursuit of icon painting.
