Horticulture

Our programmes in horticulture are designed to give young people an insight into the skills required to work in the horticulture industry or food-related production.

They range from a primary age programme which allows pupils to attend across an academic year in order to create a school garden to an entry-level training programme for secondary pupils considering a career in the industry.

These programmes take place in our education garden, walled garden and across the Dumfries House estate.

We are pleased to work along with a team of garden volunteers who enhance the smooth running of the garden. If you are interested in volunteering in our Education Garden, please email education@dumfries-house.org.uk.
