Day Visit Programmes

Our day visit programmes for schools are offered on a seasonal cycle with opportunities to plant, harvest, cook and eat home grown produce, all based in our 1 acre organic vegetable garden.

The curriculum is enhanced with workshops focused on understanding the diversity of nature through woodland studies and pond-dipping. Sustainable and organic best practice is embedded in the activities with regular signposting to career related skills.

In addition, wellness classes develop an understanding of our senses and the way in which we interact with, and react to, the world around us through utilising the natural produce available to make products such as scented soaps.

Creative workshops develop an understanding of the principles of geometry through plant studies. Linked activity day packages, with our Education Farm or STEM Centre, are also available which are designed to broaden pupils’ understanding of the principles of sustainable food production systems.

We cater for class sizes up to 30 with a minimum booking of 12. Materials are charged at £4 per child.
