Halcrow supporting our efforts to create sustainable communities

Halcrow have joined us in our effort to create sustainable communities, following a lecture given by our President, HRH, The Prince of Wales at one of the company's events earlier this year.

Halcrow, who specialise in planning, design and management services for infrastructure development, have seconded an engineer to work with us part-time.

Tom Upson will be working from our offices for 2-3 days a week for the next six months as an engineering advisor.

Tom said: "It's a great honour to be given this opportunity to work so closely with the Prince's Foundation for Building Community. It's clear from my first few weeks in the role, the passion and dedication of the whole team on delivering sustainable practices across every aspect of their organisation.

Using his extensive experience, Tom will be working with us on a variety of projects, looking at topical issues such as flooding and how to achieve flood-resilient communities.

"I hope that through application of my engineering experience, I will be able to provide a real and valid contribution to the identification of sustainable solutions to help overcome the issues of flooding."
